Invitation to Bid: WILLARD MEMORIAL CHAPEL PARKING RENOVATION• AUBURN, NEW YORK Invitation to Bid WILLARD MEMORIAL CHAPEL PARKING RENOVATION• AUBURN, NEW YORK The Community Preservation Committee (CPC), Owners of the Welch Building and Willard Memorial Chapel, 17 Nelson Street in the /City of Auburn NY 13021 are accepting proposals for the work described below until 12:00 PM local time on Wednesday, November 5th. Proposals may be emailed, mailed or delivered in person in advance of the opening. In general the work consists of replacing an existing parking lot, along with other site improvements. Demolition will require the removal of an existing asphalt parking lot and entrance drive (approximately 12,000 sf), a few small trees, and a light pole. Site improvements will include a new asphalt entrance drive and parking lot (approximately 23,000 sf), new concrete sidewalks from the parking lot to the Chapel doors, new light poles and fixtures, new concrete curbing, new trees, and stormwater management facilities (including a dry swale, a detention basin, and connection to the City Storm Sewer). The project also includes three add alternates. The add alts include an asphalt drive along the west side of the Chapel connecting the parking lot and the existing parking lot to the north, an asphalt drive along the east side of the Chapel connecting the entrance drive and the existing parking lot to the north, and a concrete sidewalk connecting the main entrance to the Chapel to Nelson Street. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the project location on Tuesday October 21st at 11 AM. Attendance is highly recommended, but not mandatory. A 5% Bid Security will be required with the bid. The Owner reserves the right to require and pay the cost of 100% Payment and Performance Bonds for the successful Bidder. Wage rates do not apply. New York State MWBE participation goals do apply. This building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a National Historic Landmark. Project funding is provided by the New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) Program administered by New York State Homes and Community Renewal. Additional funding is being provided by the City of Auburn utilizing U.S. Department of the Treasury American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. Under Article 15A & 17B, Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women Owned Business (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts.
