The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will hold a public meeting on Thursday, April 2, to provide information and seek public input on the Interstate 65/Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) interchange planning study (Item No. 05-560.00).
This study will evaluate potential improvement concepts that would address congestion and enhance safety at the I-65 and I-265 interchange. Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to share their feedback, as well as review existing traffic, safety, and environmental information related to the project.
The meeting will be an open-house event with no formal presentation from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at the South Central Regional Library at 7300 Jefferson Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40219. While the meeting is hosted at the library, the meeting is not sponsored or endorsed by the Louisville Free Public Library. An online public survey will also be made available following the public meeting through April 30, 2026: bit.ly/I65I265study.
A second public meeting is expected to be held in Summer of 2026, and the final report is expected to be published by the end of 2026.
All written comments will become part of the official meeting record. Once compiled, the meeting record and supporting documentation will be made available for review and copying only after an Open Records Request has been received and approved. All Open Records Requests must be submitted to the Transportation Cabinet, Office of Legal Services, Transportation Office Building (200 Metro St, Frankfort, KY 40622), or via kytc.openrecords@ky.gov.
