Kimball Public Library - Dome Restoration Bids
Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for the Kimball Public Library Dome Restoration project will be received at 67 N Main Street, Randolph, Vermont 05060 until 1:00 P.M. local time on Monday, April 27, 2026 at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids will be received for the following: Removing sheet metal cladding, flashing, and trim down to, but not including sheathing unless otherwise noted; abating identified hazardous materials and removing lead-containing materials indicated; replacing sheet metal cladding, flashing, and trim, including replacing sheathing where indicated and providing underlayment; salvaging and installing patterned glass and copper cresting at skylight; removing coating from cresting in shop prior to installation; and preparing and painting iron brackets at copper cresting and other Work as indicated on Drawings.

A pre-bid walkthrough will be held at the Project Site, 67 Main Street, Randolph, Vermont 05060 on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 10am. Attending a walkthrough is optional, but all prospective Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Prospective bidders may request clarifications of the Bid Documents from the Architect by contacting Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture and Preservation, LLP, by e-mail to apetruzzelli@trw-arch.com. Please submit all requested clarifications by Monday, April 20, 2026. All questions must be submitted via e-mail, no phone calls will be accepted. All e-mails must have subject line "Kimball Public Library Dome Restoration".
Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.
The Kimball Public Library Dome Restoration project is funded in part The Save America's Treasures program and the Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant program, supported by the Historic Preservation Fund, administered by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior. This Project also includes funding from the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board and Vermont's Division for Historic Preservation. Federal grant rules and regulations will apply to this Project. All work must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, specifically the Secretary's Standards for Rehabilitation.
