Kopas Gets Law Degree

Jan Adam Kopas III, of Dudley, received a Juris Doctor degree with the honors of cum laude from New England Law | Boston on May 16, 2025, at the Wang Theatre in Boston. He ranked 23rd out of 249 students in his class. Jan also received a certificate in taxation law from New England Law | Boston due to the number of tax classes taken, the high grades received in those classes, and satisfying the experiential education requirement. He is the son of Attorney Jan Kopas and Cheryl Kopas. While in law school Jan received CALI Awards in Evidence, Criminal Procedure, Taxation of Business Entities, and Perspectives: Taxation/Mergers & Acquisitions. CALI Awards are awarded to the student who finishes with the highest grade in each class. He was also the recipient of a New England Scholar Award (2023-2024) for superior academic achievement. Jan received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with the honors of summa cum laude from Nichols College in 2021 and a Master of Science in Accounting degree from Nichols College in 2022.
