Take notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, New Jersey Forest Service has applied to the NJ Pinelands Commission to permit forest management activities on state owned land as identified below. The application is on file and available for inspection by appointment at the NJ Pinelands Commission's office. Interested parties may comment to the Pinelands Commission within 10 days of the date of this notice.

Any person who provides comments or requests a copy of the Executive Director's findings and conclusion shall be provided with a copy of said findings and conclusion. Any interested person who is aggrieved by said determination is entitled to a hearing by appealing the determination.

Purpose & Activity: The proposed activity involves managing 160 acres in Wharton State Forest to restore a natural Atlantic white cedar stand by removing competing vegetation while preserving mature cedars as seed sources, using mechanical and chemical site preparation methods that are consistent with Atlantic white cedar Best Management Practices and the Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan.
