LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC HEARING On Proposed Highway Safety Improvements On Gunlock Road between MP 9.6 (intersection with Old Highway 91) and MP 25.0 near Veyo In Washington County, Utah UDOT Local Government Project No. 21589 The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) on behalf of Washington County, Utah, has initiated a Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) along Gunlock Road. The purpose of the Gunlock HSIP will be to improve driver safety on Gunlock Road in between MP 9.6 (intersection with Old Highway 91) and MP 25.0 near Veyo. The project will include installing safety signage, roadside barriers, guardrails, and clear zone improvements. Curve warning signs, chevrons, and other roadway warning signs will be installed within the existing roadway. The project will also realign an existing unpaved access road near MP 21.2 to accommodate the barrier installation. UDOT is offering the opportunity to allow any person to request, in writing, that a public hearing be held to discuss the planned transportation improvements. All interested individuals may request a public hearing be held by submitting a written request by mail to: Horrocks, 555 South Bluff St., Suite 200, St George, UT 84770. Requests must be postmarked by January 25, 2026. In the event a public hearing is requested, a hearing will be scheduled, and notices will be published indicating the hearing date and location.
