LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WEST MILFORD ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Battinelli's Family Farm, LLC will be returning to the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Township of West Milford, County of Passaic, NJ for the purpose of requesting extensions of previously granted approvals of site plans and variances and potentially the re-allocation of escrow monies for property located at 1566 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480 Block 6401 Lot 7 consisting of 40.27 acres with about half of the property in the Community Commercial (CC) zone and the other half in the R-2 residential zone where farming is permitted. The previously approved plan includes access to and from the farm via New Jersey Avenue through Block 6401 Lot 9 and Block 6401 Lot 10 using an easement.
The site plan includes commercial and retail facilities including a bakery/creamery, gift shop and tap room/wine tasting area. The farm will also have agricultural facilities such as barns, pavilions, a greenhouse, a produce stand and a duck pond. Family-friendly activities will feature a petting barn and pick-your-own crop areas. The intention is to create a venue for the community as well as a tourist destination that can showcase the natural beauty of West Milford.
A public hearing has been scheduled for October 28, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the main meeting room of Town Hall at 1480 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480. Information concerning the extension, if any, can be reviewed by request at the West Milford Planning Department office at 1480 Union Valley Road, West Milford NJ 07480, (973) 728-2796 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Any meetings that are carried may have new information that is available from the Planning Department office. At the time the application is heard, you may appear in person or by attorney and offer any comments you have concerning this application.
