LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the City of Boone, Iowa has on file an appeal from the following property owners, requesting a variance in the regulations of Zoning Ordinance No. 1452.
Emily Graeve, a representative for Graeve Train, Inc., 1712 Hancock Street, Boone, Iowa requests a variance for the reduction of the Minimum Front Yard Depth for the property at 218 5th Street. Ms. Graeve is requesting a reduction in Minimum Front Yard Depth from thirty (30) feet, to seven (7) feet on the West side of the residence; for property located at 218 5th Street.
Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance 175.10 #5 Minimum Front Yard Depth. Thirty (30) feet. When fronting on the right of way of city primary or arterial street, as designated by the city council, the front yard shall be forty (40) feet.
The appeal will be acted upon by the Zoning Board of Adjustment at a meeting of the Board in the Conference Room of City Hall on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 3:30 P.M., at which time all objections to said appeal will be heard, and anyone interested in said appeal may appear at said Board meeting and make his/her objections, if any, thereto. You may also file written objections and/or concerns at the City Clerk's Office prior to the meeting time. In any event, final action will be taken on this appeal on the above referenced date.
