NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
AMENDMENTS TO ZONING BYLAWS
In accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 5, notice is hereby given that a REMOTE PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the Marshfield Planning Board, at 7:00 P.M. on MONDAY, March 16, 2026 to consider and hear comments on the following proposed amendments to the Marshfield Town Code, Division 3: Zoning Bylaw, Chapter 305:
Amend Article XII, Special Regulations, §305-12.07 Protected Accessory Dwelling Unit to comply with the Massachusetts ADU regulations, 760 CMR 71.00
Amend Article II Definitions, by modifying the current definition of the term "Protected Accessory Dwelling Unit (PADU) to comply with the Massachusetts ADU regulations, 760 CMR 71.00
Amend Article XIII, Superimposed Districts § 305-13.06. Planned mixed-use development, D. Required performance standards (3), by modifying the current (3) to correct a discrepancy between the number of residential units allowed in the Planned Mixed Use Development district and the allowed density in the Affordable Village.
Amend Article VI, Dimensional and Density Regulations § 305-6.10, Table of Dimensional and Density Regulations to allow any currently developed non-conforming lot in the B-2 District to be redeveloped without a special permit.
The full text of the articles is available on the Planning Department website and may be viewed during regular business hours at the office of the Town Clerk and at the office of the Planning Board. The ZOOM link to the public hearing will be posted with the Town Clerk and found on the meeting calendar on the Town Website the Wednesday afternoon prior to the meeting.
