LEGAL NOTICE Pursuant to Section 9-16-70 et seq., Alabama Code, 1975, Cahaba Resources, LLC, Deerlick West Mine, hereby gives notice that it has filed Phase I, II, and III bond release applications with the Alabama Surface mining Commission for release of performance bonds for Permit P-3996-63-24-S, Increment No. 1 and Increment No. 5. The areas of land for which bond releases are requested consists of 59 acres in Increment 1 and 15 acres in Increment 5, all located in: SW/NE, SE/NW, & SE/NE of Section 27, Township 20 South, Range 9 West, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The permittee maintains that as of 3/31/2026, all the requirements involving all backfilling, regrading, drainage control, replacing all topsoil or its approved substitute, revegetation, planting, and growing times of the areas in Increment 1 and Increment 5 have been completed in compliance with State Law and Regulations and the approved reclamation plan. The permittee, therefore, is requesting release of $86,040.00 of the performance bond $86,040.00 for Increment No. 1, and $66,240.00 of the performance bond $66,240.00 for Increment 5.
