Notice of Public Hearing
Village of Dryden
The Village of Dryden will hold a public hearing on June 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Village Hall, 16 South Street, Dryden, NY for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Village of Dryden's community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2026 program year. The NYS CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal and will make available to eligible local governments approximately $45,000,000 for the 2026 program year for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning
activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The Village of Dryden is applying for up to $750,000 for housing rehabilitation for 1-to-4-unit properties. The Village is also applying for up to $50,000 for a planning project to assess housing conditions. The hearing will provide CDBG program information and will accept public input on proposed grant applications and alternative project ideas.
The Village Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact the Village of Dryden at 607-844-8122 at least three days in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. Written comments may also be submitted to Mike Murphy, Mayor, 16 South Street, Dryden, NY 13053 until June 22, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
Applications and related CDBG materials will be made available at the Village Hall.
