LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Education of the Chippewa Local School District, Wayne County, Ohio, at the Superintendent's Office, 56 N Portage St, Doylestown, Ohio 44230, until 12:00 p.m. local time on May 29, 2026, for the Chippewa Intermediate School Asphalt Project. Immediately after the time for filing bids has expired, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project generally consists of the asphalt overlay and related site improvements at Chippewa Intermediate School, including approximately 89,956 square feet of asphalt overlay work and alternate pricing for additional asphalt installation areas. This Legal Notice and the Contract Documents relating to the Request for Bids for the project may be viewed and downloaded from the district's website at chippewaschools.org or may be obtained at the district's administrative office at the address provided above. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by the Chippewa Local School District and shall comply with all applicable provisions of Ohio law, including, but not limited to, Ohio Revised Code Sections 153.54, 153.57, and 3313.46. Bidders shall include with their bid a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54 in the form of either: A bond for the full amount of the bid; orA certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. No bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid deemed most favorable to the Board.
