Lafourche Fire Protection Dist 4 Lafourche Fire Protection District #4 Special Meeting Minutes April 13, 2026 I. Call to Order The special meeting of the Fire Protection District #4 Board was called to order at 6:30p.m. on April 13, 2026 at Bowie Fire Station - 1075 Hwy 1, Thibodaux, LA. Pledge of Allegiance by Richard Bourgeois. II. Roll Call Secretary David Boudreaux conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: President Ruben Boudreaux Jr., Secretary David Boudreaux, Treasurer Perry Falcon, Richard Bourgeois and David Bourgeois (newly appointed). III. Recognize Guest in Attendance No guests were present. IV. Communication No communications were received. V. New Business 1) Election for 2026 Officers - Perry Falcon nominated Ruben Boudreaux Jr for Board President. There were no other nominations. Ruben Boudreaux was elected unanimously; David Boudreaux abstained from the process due to relationship with nominee (brother). - Richard Bourgeois nominated David Boudreaux for Secretary. There were no other nominations. David Boudreaux was elected unanimously. - David Boudreaux nominated Perry Falcon for Treasurer. There were no other nominations. Perry Falcon was elected unanimously. 2) Perry Falcon (Treasurer) recommended a distribution of funds to the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $80,000 in accordance with the agreement with the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department. President Ruben Boudreaux Jr. asked for a motion to transfer funds to Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $80,000. David Boudreaux made a motion to distribute the funds to the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $80,000 and Richard Bourgeois 2nd the motion. Passed unanimously. VI. Call to Order The regular quarterly meeting of the Fire Protection District #4 Board was called to order at 6:30p.m. on March 09, 2026 at Bowie Fire Station - 1075 Hwy 1, Thibodaux, LA. Pledge of Allegiance by President Ruben Boudreaux Jr. II. Roll Call Secretary David Boudreaux conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: President Ruben Boudreaux Jr., Secretary David Boudreaux, Treasurer Perry Falcon. Absent: Richard Bourgeois. III. Recognize Guest in Attendance David Bourgeois (applicant for open board member position) IV. Accept Last Quarter Minutes Secretary David Boudreaux provided copies of last quarter meeting minutes. Perry Falcon motioned to accept the last quarter minutes and 2nd by Ruben Boudreaux Jr. Passed unanimously. V. Communication Received audit report from T. S. Kearns & Co. CPA. Per report no corrective actions needed by the board. VI. Treasurer's Report Treasurer's report handed out by Perry Falcon (Treasurer). Treasurer Perry Falcon pointed out the deposits from tax revenue. Ending balance of $86,916.78 was reported. Ruben Boudreaux Jr. motioned to accept the Treasurer's report and 2nd by David Boudreaux. Passed unanimously. VII. Reading of Bills to be Paid Treasurer Perry Falcon requested the board approve the payment of accounting services for the annual audit by T.S. Kearns CPA upon receipt of the invoice. Ruben Boudreaux Jr. motioned to pay the bill upon receipt and 2nd by David Boudreaux. Passed unanimously. VIII. Unfinished Business No Unfinished Business. IX. New Business The election of 2026 board officers and the distribution of funds to the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department were on the agenda. Per discussion by the board members present, it was decided to delay both actions until all board members were present, including the open board member position. Per discussion a special meeting will be called which would be before the next quarter meeting to handle the actions. Motion was made by David Boudreaux and 2nd by Perry Falcon to delay the actions.
