MEETING NOTICE BOARD OF EDUCATION GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN The Board of Education will be meeting in the Green Bay Area Public School District Office Building located at 200 S. Broadway, Green Bay, WI 54303. Open session meetings will take place in room #331 and closed session portions of meetings will take place in room #337, both of which are located on the 3rd floor. Some individuals will be joining via zoom and the meeting will be live streamed broadcasted on the Green Bay Area Public School District YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrBxEp_9xzauvGyUydBvV9g. These meetings are meetings of the Board of Education in public for the purpose of conducting the School District's business and are not to be considered public community meetings. There is a time for public participation during the Work Session meeting as indicated in the agenda. Members of the public wishing to address the Board may speak during the public forum or provide written comments in accordance with the procedures posted on the District's website (https://www.gbaps.org/aboutgbaps/board-of-education/board-meeting-protocol) and state law. Due to Wisconsin Open Meetings Laws the Board may not be able to address comments made during public input. When appropriate the Board may request the administration to reach out to a citizen regarding a concern they may have. Any special needs or any requests for accommodations related to accessing the meeting should be sent to kllehr@gbaps.org at least 24-hours in advance of the meeting. This would include any person for whom it would be burdensome or infeasible to use the primary method(s) of remote access established by the District. SPECIAL BOARD MEETING Monday, September 8, 2025 Open Session - 5 p.m. The meeting will convene in Open Session at 5 p.m. in room #331 to consider the agenda which will include discussion and action as deemed necessary on: Interviews of Superintendent Search Consultants Selection of Superintendent Search Firm Employment of Staff Transfer of Staff Resignation of Staff Retirement of Staff WORK SESSION Monday, September 8, 2025 Open Session - Immediately Following Special Board Meeting & Adjourn into Closed Session The meeting will convene in Open Session immediately following the Special Board Meeting in room #331 to consider the agenda which will include a Public Forum and discussion on Strategic Planning Update Related to Thriving Workforce Goal of 90% or More Staff will be Persistently Present on Student Contact Days, Strategic Planning Update Related to Thriving Workforce Goal of 95% or More of Staff will be Injury or Accident-Free During the School Year, Course Listings for the 2026-27 School Year, 2022 & 2024 Referendum Update, Revisions to Board of Education Policies and Rules in the 800 Series of Policies, and Revisions to Board of Education Rule 187 - Public Participation at Board and Committee Meetings. Following the Open Session, there will be a motion to reconvene into Closed Session in Room #337, pursuant to: Wisconsin Statute Wisconsin Statute 19.85 (1)(e) – Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session, more specifically, to wit: negotiating with 3rd parties regarding the potential acquisition and divestment of real property (Keller Elementary); and Wisconsin Statute 19.85 (1)(e) - Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session, more specifically, to wit: negotiation strategy for collective bargaining agreements between the District and collective bargaining units; and Wisconsin Statute 19.85 (1) (g) – Conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved, more specifically, to wit: potential litigation matter(s) regarding the District. The Board may return to open session to vote on items discussed in closed session. OTHER MEETINGS A quorum of the Green Bay Area Public School District Board of Education may be in attendance at any of the following public meetings or non-public events, but members of the board will not be discussing, deliberating, or taking any formal action.
