MOTION TO SUBSTITUTE MOTION TO SUBSTITUTE CATHERINE HODGES WORLEY FOR PATRICIA D. HODGES AS PARTY PETITIONER. COMES NOW, Catherine Hodges Worley, executor of the estate of Patricia D. Hodges by and through her counsel hereby makes this motion for substitution of Party Respondent as follows: 1) Petitioner received title to Property by virtue of (i) that certain Sheriff's Tax Deed from Jerry A. Thompson, Deputy Ex-Officio Sheriff of Richmond County Georgia, dated April 10, 2009, and recorded with the Clerk of Superior Court of Richmond County, Georgia at Deed Book 1220, Page 921. 2) Madge Garrett Dickens received title to Property by virtue of (i) that certain Warranty Deed from Georgia Vitrified Brick and Clay Company, dated July 30, 1952, and recorded with the Clerk of Superior Court of Richmond County, Georgia at Realty Book 19Q, Page 425. 3) Madge Garrett Dickens and B. T. Dickens received title to Property by virtue of (i) that certain Warranty Deed with Survivorship from Madge Garrett Dickens, dated June 30, 1983, and recorded with the Clerk of Superior Court of Richmond County, Georgia at Realty Book 167, Page 190. 4) Petitioner has previously foreclosed the right of redemption as provided for in O.C.G.A. § 48-4-45 against the estate, known and unknown heirs. Petitioner obtained the Property via Sheriff's Tax Deed over 15 (15) years ago and now seeks to remove any and all clouds against the title of the Property. II. CITATION OF AUTHORITY If a party transfers their interest in a claim or the property that is the subject matter of a claim, the court may order substitution of the proper parties. O.C.G.A. §9-11-25. Substitution of parties does not occur by operation of law but must be effected under O.C.G.A. §9-11-25. A hearing is not required in this case since the parties consent to the substitution of Catherine Hodges Worley, as the executor for Patricia D. Hodges. III. CONCLUSION Catherine Hodges Worley, as the executor for Patricia D. Hodges, as current titleholder of the subject property, is a proper party to this action. She seeks an Order, with the consent of the Petitioner, substituting her for Patricia D. Hodges, in her individual capacity as owner of the subject property. September 2, 9, 16, 23 2025 LGSC0361597
