Minutes for Feb 2, 2026 Mayor Don Parker and Council Members met in regular session on February 2, 2026. Present were Clerk Mechele Jones, Kim Cloessner and Danita Davis. Lee Book was absent. The meeting came to order following a prayer by Malcolm English. Minutes of the regular session from January 5, 2026 were read. Kim Cloessner made a motion to accept the minutes as read; seconded by Danita Davis. The Financial Reports were read for each of the departments. Danita Davis made a motion to accept the reports and pay the bills; seconded by the Kim Cloessner. The new owners of Dalton's Grocery attended the meeting to discuss with the Mayor and Council the plans for the new building. Danita Davis made a motion to accept the Resolution No. 2026-01 Opposing Carbon Capture and Sequestration; seconded by Kim Cloessner. Danita Davis made a motion to approve to adjust James Holden's water bill due to a water leak; seconded by Kim Cloessner. Motion to adjourn was made by Kim Cloessner; seconded by Danita Davis.
