Minutes for October 6, 2025 Alexandria Town Talk Alexandria, La Mayor Don Parker and Council Members met in regular session on October 6, 2025. Present were Clerk Mechele Jones, Kim Cloessner, Danita Davis and Lee Book. The meeting came to order following a prayer by Mayor Parker. Minutes of the regular session from September 2, 2025 were read. Lee Book made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Kim Cloessner. The Financial Reports were read for each of the departments. Danita Davis made a motion to accept the reports and pay the bills; seconded by Lee Book. Danita made a motion to accept the minutes from the Special Meeting held on August 29, 2025; seconded by Kim Cloessner. Mayor Parker let the council know that he will be making some changes to the Mobile Home Ordinance and he would also be updating the village's policies. Danita Davis made a motion to put in a request to the RPPJ for shoulder improvements on the McNary Cutoff Road. It has become a safety hazard because of the holes along the side of the road; seconded by Kim Cloessner. Mayor Parker let the council know the State DHH has contacted the owner of the property at 12198 Hwy 165. about the sewage leak. Motion to adjourn was made by Danita Davis; seconded by Kim Cloessner.
