Minutes of a Joint Work Session with Boone CSD and The Board of Directors of the United Community School District June 1, 2026 MEMBERS PRESENT/ACKNOWLEDGE QUORUM The United Community School District Board of Education held a board work session with Boone Community School District's Board of Education on Monday, June 1, 2026, in the United Community Library. United Board President, Jon Davis, called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. acknowledging a quorum. United board members present were: Davis, Vice President Lori Weyhrich, Kathy Toms, and Rachael Gross. Ben Hershey was absent. Others present were Superintendent Heather Holm and Board Secretary & Treasurer Jenn Meinecke. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Toms motioned to approved the agenda as presented. Weyhrich seconded. Motion carried 4-0. INTRODUCTION OF BOONE CSD AND UNITED CSD BOARD OF DIRECTORS United Board President Davis and Directors welcomed the Boone CSD Board of Directors to the United CSD Library for a work session collaborating and discussing the strengthening of the partnership, reviewing what is working, and identifying opportunities to enhance the student experience and operational efficiency moving forward. WHOLE-GRADE SHARING The joint Boards discussed: Partnership Strengths: (1) Mutual commitment to student success; (2) Well-maintained facilities that support learning; (3) Expanding student opportunities. Opportunities to Strengthen the Student Experience: (1) 6th Grade Transition; (2) Academic Readiness & Records; (3) Student Belonging. Operational Alignment: (1) Calendar and Schedule Coordination; (2) Transportation Efficiencies. ADJOURN There was no further business for consideration.
