Minutes of a Special Meeting of The Board of Directors of the United Community School District June 24, 2026 CALL TO ORDER The special board meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in the District Conference room by President Jon Davis. The following members of the board answered the roll call: Davis, Kathy Toms, Ben Hershey, Rachael Gross and Vice President Lori Weyhrich. Other staff present: Heather Holm, Superintendent, and Jenn Meinecke, Board Secretary & Treasurer APPROVAL OF AGENDA Weyhrich moved to approve the agenda as presented. Toms seconded. Motion carried 5-0. NEW BUSINESS Personnel – Principal Contract: Hershey motioned to approve the Elementary Principal Contract for $95,000 for 260 days (pending license renewal) for Maggie Butler. Gross seconded. Motion carried 5-0. Operational Sharing Agreements: (1) Transportation Director Agreement: Weyhrich motioned to approve the renewal of a one-year sharing agreement for the transportation director with South Hamilton CSD for 2026-2027. The cost to United for 30% services is $27,207 plus mileage. Toms seconded. Motion carried 5-0; (2) Superintendent Operational Sharing Agreement: Toms motioned to approve the renewal of a one-year sharing agreement for superintendent with South Hamilton for 2026-2027. The cost to United for 30% services is $73,712.98. Gross seconded. Motion carried 5-0. Motion to Reconsider – Dvorak Open Enrollment: Board member Hershey, who voted on the prevailing side, moved to reconsider that action taken on May 18, 2026, for discussion. No second was received. With no second, the motion died, and no further action was taken. Prior Board action from May 18, 2026, remains in effect. ADJOURN There was no further business for consideration. Toms motioned to adjourn the meeting. Gross seconded.
