NOTICE AND CALL OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF A REZONING REQUEST FOR PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF ALTOONA, IOWA The Altoona Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chambers at Altoona City Hall, 900 Venbury Drive, Altoona, Iowa. The meeting can also be joined via Zoom using the link below. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE Altoona Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at the date, time, and place above set out. The tentative agenda for said meeting is as follows: Consideration of a joint rezoning request from Brock A Rude and Kristen L Rude as well as purchaser IALCO Polk County Four, L.L.C., c/o Tract. The request is to rezone approximately 15 acres from A-1 (Agricultural District) to M-1 (Limited Industrial). The land is legally described as follows: LOT 1 IN WILLIAMSON FARM PLAT 1, AN OFFICIAL PLAT, NOW INCLUDED IN AND FORMING A PART OF ALTOONA, IOWA. This land is generally located just north of 25th Street NW and is approximately 4,000' west of the intersection of 25th Street NW and NE 46th Street. Any person interested in said request may appear before the Altoona Planning and Zoning Commission at the time and place set above to voice their opinion either for or against said request.
