NOTICE HATBORO BOROUGH

NOTICE HATBORO BOROUGH NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 7:00 PM prevailing time at 414 S. York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040, the Hatboro Borough Council will consider adoption of the following proposed ordinance: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF HATBORO BOROUGH, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, LEVYING REAL ESTATE TAXES, AND A TAX FOR SUPPORTING AMBULANCE, RESCUE AND OTHER EMERGENCY SERVICES SERVING THE BOROUGH FOR 2026; REPEALING ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance affixes the property tax rate for 2026 as follows: A tax rate for general revenue purposes, the sum of 10.588 mills on each dollar of assessed valuation or the sum of 105.88 cents on each $100.00 of assessed valuation. A tax rate for debt purposes, the sum of 1.406 mills on each dollar of assessed valuation or the sum of 14.06 cents on each $100.00 of assessed valuation. A tax rate for fire protection purposes, the sum of 1.026 mills on each dollar of assessed valuation or the sum of 10.26 cents on each $100.00 of assessed valuation. A tax rate for the Union Library of Hatboro, the sum of 0.55 mills on each dollar of assessed valuation or the sum of 5.5 cents on each $100.00 of assessed valuation. A tax rate for ambulance, rescue and other emergency purposes for the sum of 0.05 mills on each dollar of assessed valuation or the sum of 0.5 cents on each $100.00 of assessed valuation. This ordinance also includes a repealer, revisions, severability, failure to enforce not a waiver, effective date and enactment paragraphs.
