NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on September 11, 2025, the Ontario County Board of Supervisors adopted Local Law No. 6 (Intro.) of 2025, subject to a 45-day permissive referendum, which provides: The Board of Supervisors hereby finds that it is in the public interest that certain officers in the service of Ontario County reside in the county, while the residency of other officers does not contribute to their ability to perform their duties. It is the intent of this local law to endorse the continued application of Public Officers Law Section 3(1) to certain officers, and to supersede its provisions as they may apply to the remaining county officers.
