NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT The Township Board of Girard Township, Branch County, Michigan, approved and adopted on December 1, 2025 Zoning Ordinance amendments, involving: Section 6.21 Wind Energy Conversion Systems, to update standards for development; Section 6.25 Battery Energy Storage Systems, an addition to the ordinance to create development standards; Article 15 AG-Agricultural District, the addition of Section 15.02 C, to allow accessory buildings as a permitted use where a residential dwelling already exists. This amendment was adopted following a public hearing held on November 13, 2025, pursuant to the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (Act 110 of 2006, MCL 125.3101 et seq.), after review and recommendation by the Planning Commission. This Ordinance shall take effect, seven (7) days after the day of its publication pursuant to MCL125.3402, as amended.
