NOTICE OF ANNEXATION PETITION

NOTICE OF ANNEXATION PETITION Notice is given that there was filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Wayne County, Ohio (the "Board") on June 10, 2026, a Petition for Annexation (the "Petition") signed by the owners of the real estate described below (the "Territory") praying that the Territory be annexed to the City of Orrville, Ohio in the manner provided by law. The Territory is described as follows: Situated in the Township of Baughman, T-17N; R-11W, Northwest Quarter of Section 31, County of Wayne, and State of Ohio: Known as all of lands conveyed to Thomas J. & Stephanie A. Herrington in Volume 975, Page 2736 and all of lands conveyed to Orrvilla Inc in Volume 975, Page 114 of Wayne County Official Records and further bounded and described as follows; Commencing at the northwest comer of said Northwest Quarter and in Main Street (C.R. 57) ~ witnessed by a capped pin with I.D. cap marked "H & A" found N 89° 47' 51" E, 33.02 feet; Thence N 89° 47' 51" E, 199.98 feet along the north section line to the City of Orrville corp. line and the principal place of beginning of the parcel herein described: THENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING SIX (6) COURSES: 1. N 89° 47' 51" E, 1545.92 feet along the north section line and said corp. line, passing through a 5/8" capped pin with I.D. cap marked "GASBARRE" found at a distance of 1511.60 feet, to a 5/8" capped pin with I.D. cap marked "PURDY" found marking a northwest comer of lands conveyed to 1897 Berry LLC in Volume 966, Page 3443 of said Official Records; 2. S 00° 06' 07" W, 470.24 feet along a west line of said 1897 Berry LLC lands to a 5/8" capped pin with I.D. cap marked "SJL, INC" found marking a northwest comer of lands conveyed to Xeldam in Volume 966, Page 3447; 3. S 89° 47' 51" W, 1118.30 feet along a north line of said Xeldam lands to a 5/8" capped pin with I.D. cap marked "SJL, INC" found on an east line of lands conveyed to Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company in Volume 653, Page 25 & 27 in Wayne County Deed Records; 4. N 01° 43' 37" E, 420.35 feet along an east line of said Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company lands to a capped pin with I.D. cap marked "H & A" found at a northwest comer thereof; 5. S 89° 48' 16" W, 441.01 feet along a north line of said Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company lands to the aforesaid corp. line; 6. N 01° 46' 56" E, 50.10 feet along said corp. line to the place of beginning and containing within said bounds 12.507 acres of land. The undersigned is named in the Petition as the agent of the petitioners in accordance with law. The Petition contains a full description and an accurate map of the Territory. The Petition states that the number of owners of real estate in the Territory is three (3). Any owner who signed the Petition may remove such owner's signature by filing with the clerk of the Board of County Commissioners a written notice of withdrawal of the owner's signature within twenty-one (21) days from the date of this Notice. The Board established August 12, 2026 immediately following the Commissioners' 9:00 a.m. session as the time for hearing with respect to the Petition. The hearing will be held at the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of the Wayne County Administration Building, 428 West Liberty Street, Wooster, Ohio.
