NOTICE OF BID Sealed bids will be received by the Secretary of the Municipal Utilities Board at Watertown Municipal Utilities Office 901 Fourth Avenue SW Watertown SD 57201 up to 1:30 pm, Thursday, January 22, 2026. Transformers – Electric Department Wire – Electric Department Installation of Wires – Electric Department Residential Street Light Posts – Electric Department Residential LED Fixtures – Electric Department Residential Security Lights – Electric Department At the time and place named above such bids will be opened publicly and subsequently acted upon by the Municipal Utilities Board at their next regularly scheduled Board Meeting. Specifications for such bids may be obtained from the Secretary at the Municipal Utilities Office. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit as a guaranty that such bidder will enter into a contract with said Municipal Utilities Board in case such bidder is awarded the contract. The bid deposit shall be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bank draft, for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid OR a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. The check or bank draft should be made payable to Watertown Municipal Utilities. The bond should be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota, such bond to be made payable to Watertown Municipal Utilities. CHECKS OR BONDS NOT COMPLYING WITH THESE PROVISIONS WILL DISQUALIFY BID. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or any part of any bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening.
