NOTICE OF BUDGET HEARING for the EQUUS BEDS GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 To: All eligible voters in the EQUUS BEDS GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 with boundaries in portions of Western Harvey, South Central McPherson, Eastern Reno, and Northwestern Sedgwick Counties, Kansas, and all other interested persons. You are hereby notified that on the 29th day of July, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., in the conference room of the Equus Beds Groundwater Management District No. 2, 313 Spruce Street, Halstead, Harvey County, Kansas, a public hearing will be held, pursuant to K.S.A. 82a-1030(b), for the purpose of submitting the proposed 2027 fiscal budget and proposed amended 2026 fiscal budget to the eligible voters of the District. Following the hearing, the District Board of Directors shall, by resolution, adopt either the proposed 2027 budget or a modified budget and determine the amount of land and water assessment rate needed to support the adopted 2027 fiscal budget. The Board may also adopt the proposed 2026 amended budget or a modified amended budget. The public is invited to attend.
