NOTICE OF DECISION
Please take notice that the Egg Harbor Township Zoning Board of Adjustment ("Board") has granted an application for development filed by American World Maritime Inc. ("Applicant") regarding real property with a street address 202 Palermo Avenue (f/k/a 7017 Black Horse Pike) designated as Block 4211, Lot 1 on the current municipal tax map. The Board granted variance approval to replace an existing 4-foot-high vinyl privacy fence with a 6-foot high privacy fence along the Black Horse Pike and Palermo Avenue.
The Board approved the following variances under the municipal land use ordinance:
1. Section 225-14.1(C) – Fences not to exceed 4 ft above ground level when located within 25 ft of right-of-way; 6-foot-tall fence to be located 20.5 ft from the Palermo Avenue right-of-way approved;
2. Section §225-14.1(C) – Fences not to exceed 4 ft about ground level when located within 25 ft of right-of-way; 6-foot-tall fence to be located 14.5 ft from the Black Horse Pike right-of-way approved; and
3. Section 225-14.1(E) – Fences located within 25 ft of a right-of-way shall provide at least 50% open space; 6-foot-tall privacy fence along the Black Horse Pike and Palermo Avenue, with zero (0) percent open space, was approved.
The Board granted this application on February 2, 2026 and its decision was memorialized in a written resolution that the Board adopted on March 2, 2026 A copy of the memorializing resolution is filed in the office of the municipal administrative officer. A copy is available to any interested party for a reasonable fee and is available for public inspection during municipal business hours.
