NOTICE OF DECISION
TOWNSHIP OF HANOVVER PLANNING BOARD
COUNTY OF MORRIS, STATE OF NEW JERSEY
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on August 19, 2025, the Township of Hanover ("Township") Planning Board (the "Board") adopted a resolution ("Resolution") memorializing the Board's grant of a two-year extension of the period of protections applicable to the Board's prior Preliminary and Final Site Plan and Variance approval reflected in the Board's resolution adopted on May 25, 2021 under Case No. 20-7-9 (the "Original Approval") granted to Walmart, Inc. ("Applicant") pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-52(a) and Township Land Use Ordinance Sections 166-28E(2) and 166-78B. The Board retroactively extended the period of protections applicable to the Original Approval through May 25, 2026. The Original Approval permits various site modifications to the existing Walmart store in the "Cedar Knolls Mall" located in the Township at 225-235 Ridgedale Avenue and identified as Lot 3, Block 1801 on the Township's Tax Map (the "Property"). The Property is in the Township's I-B3 Industrial Business Zone District ("I-B3 Zone") and improved with a shopping center that includes Applicant's existing retail store.
A copy of the Resolution and supporting documentation is on file with the Board at the Township's Municipal Building located at 1000 Route 10, Whippany, New Jersey 07981 and is available for review by interested persons during regular business days or hours or may be obtained by contacting the Board Secretary. This Notice is given pursuant to the Municipal Land Use Law N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq.
