NOTICE OF ELECTION EMMET COUNTY November 4, 2025 TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF EMMET COUNTY: NOTICE IS HEARBY GIVEN that a General/Special Election will be held in the City of Petoskey, the City of Harbor Springs, Wawatam Township, and Carp Lake Township, in Emmet County, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City of Petoskey, and the City of Harbor Springs will be voting on the following nonpartisan office: City Council. BE FURTHER NOTIFIED that Wawatam Township and Carp Lake Township will be voting on the following proposal: CHEBOYGAN-OTSEGO-PRESQUE ISLE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE DISTRICT AREA CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROPOSAL Shall Cheboygan-Otsego-Presque Isle Educational Service District, State of Michigan, come under sections 681 to 690 of the Revised School Code, as amended, and establish an area career and technical education program, which is designed to encourage the operation of area career and technical education programs, including for vocational training purposes, if the annual property tax levied for this purpose is limited to 1 mill ($1.00 on each $1,000 of taxable valuation) for a period of 6 years, 2026 to 2031, inclusive; the estimate of the revenue that Cheboygan-Otsego-Presque Isle Educational Service District will collect if the millage is approved and levied in 2026 is approximately $4,824,559 from local property taxes authorized herein? The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the Township Clerk is Monday, October 20, 2025.
