NOTICE OF ELECTIONEMMET COUNTYAugust 4, 2026 TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF EMMET COUNTY: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Primary Election will be held in all voting precincts in Emmet County on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at which time candidates of the Republican Party and Democratic Party, who seek nomination for the following offices are to be voted on, Governor, U.S. Senator 1st District, U.S. Representative 1st District, State Senator 37th District, State Representative 107th District, Republican Precinct Delegates, Democratic Precinct Delegates. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that all jurisdictions will be voting on a County Millage for Services for Older Citizens. Center Township will be voting on a millage proposition for road improvement, maintenance, upgrade, and other road related expenses. Cross Village, Friendship, and Readmond Townships will be voting on a millage proposal for fire and first response rescue services. Littlefield Township will be voting on a fire/emergency medical renewal proposal. Springvale Township will be voting on a renewal of additional road millage proposal. Wawatam Township will be voting on a renewal millage proposition for fire protection services. In addition, voters of the Harbor Springs Public School District will be voting on an operating millage renewal proposal and a recreation millage renewal proposition. Voters of the Pellston Public School District will be voting on an operating millage proposal. Voters of the Mackinaw City Public School District will be voting on a sinking fund millage renewal proposal, and a non-homestead operating millage replacement proposal. NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY AUGUST 4, 2026 EMMET COUNTY, MICHIGAN TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF EMMET COUNTY: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of Emmet County who is not already registered, may register to vote at the office of the Township Clerk; the office of the County Clerk; a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms can be obtained at www.mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com. The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the Township Clerk is Monday, July 20, 2026. After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at ALL Township Clerk's office, located at the following addresses.
