NOTICE OF FILING OF
APPLICATION FOR CAMA MAJOR
DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following applications were submitted for a development permit in Areas of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On September 22, 2025, Four Seasons HOA proposed to install approx. 56.5' linear feet of vinyl bulkhead 2' waterward of the current bulkhead that will result in approx. 113 sqft. of Coastal Wetland fill within the Carolina Beach Yacht Basin at 1101 Canal Dr., adj. to Snow's Cut/AIWW in Carolina Beach, New Hanover County; On September 22, 2025, Ryan & Denise Legg proposed to increase slip count at an existing docking facility from two (2) to four (4) slips at 120 Parmele Blvd., adj. to Big Lollipop Bay/AIWW in Wrightsville Beach, New Hanover County; And on September 22, 2025 Richard & Jean Woodard proposed to install a new jet-ski lift at an existing docking facility for a total of four (4) slips at 1704 Carolina Blvd., adj. to Topsail Sound in Topsail Beach, Pender County. Comments mailed to Tancred Miller, Director, Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557-3421, prior to October 17, 2025 will be considered in making the permit decision. Later comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project modification may occur based on review and comment by the public and state and federal agencies. Notice of the permit decision in these matters will be provided upon written request.
