NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION FOR CAMA MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PERMIT The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following applications were submitted for a development permit in Areas of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On December 11, 2025, Marlee Acres Recreation Club, Inc. proposed to replace an existing pier & platform, incorporating an existing floating dock within the USACE Federal Channel setback, by installing a new community 118' x 6' fixed pier and a partially covered 16' x 50' fixed platform at 2049 Harbor Dr. SW, adjacent to the AIWW in Ocean Isle Beach, Brunswick County. Copies of these applications can be examined or copied at the office of Austin Turbitt N.C. Dept. of Environmental Quality, Division of Coastal Management, 127 Cardinal Drive Ext., Wilmington, NC 28405, (910) 796-7227 during normal business hours. Comments mailed to Tancred Miller, Director, Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557-3421, prior to January 7, 2026 will be considered in making the permit decision. Later comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project modification may occur based on review and comment by the public and state and federal agencies.
