NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION FOR CAMA MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PERMIT The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following applications were submitted for a development permit in Areas of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On February 24, 2026, Harry & Deirdre Shaw proposed to install an approx. 119 linear ft. bulkhead w/ wingwall, a maximum of 1 ft. waterward of the existing bulkhead resulting in the fill of approx. 98 sq. ft. of Coastal Wetlands at 415 Bradley Creek Point Rd., adj. to Bradley Creek in Wilmington, New Hanover County; On February 24, 2026, Dennis & Carolyn Duke proposed to expand an existing four (4) slip private docking facility to six (6) slips at 1330 Final Landing Ln., adj. to Little Creek in Wilmington, New Hanover County; And on February 24, 2026, John and Jean Lovett, Trustees proposed to install a new bulkhead & rebuild an existing five (5) slip private docking facility at 123 Parmele Blvd., adj. to Lee's Cut in Wrightsville Beach, New Hanover County. Comments mailed to Tancred Miller, Director, Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557-3421, prior to March 22, 2026 will be considered in making the permit decision. Later comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project modification may occur based on review and comment by the public and state and federal agencies.
