NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION FOR CAMA MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PERMIT The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following applications were submitted for a development permit in Areas of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On March 12, 2026, Ship Wacche Estates at Brick Landing Plantation Community Association, Inc. proposed to reconfigure and expand the existing residential docking facility by relocating an existing floating dock, adding one finger pier, extending the fixed access dock & adding four (4) boatlifts for a total of ten (10) formalized boat slips at Parcel No. 244FE00115 Portage Rd, adj. to the AIWW in Ocean Isle Beach, Brunswick County; And on March 12, 2026, Ashley & Kristi Duff proposed to construct a new private three (3) slip docking facility at 110 Inlet Ct. adj. to Topsail Sound in Hampstead, Pender County. Copies of these applications can be examined or copied at the office of Tara MacPherson (Brunswick County) or Genny Ivec (Pender County) N.C. Dept. of Environmental Quality, Division of Coastal Management, 127 Cardinal Drive Ext., Wilmington, NC 28405, (910) 796-7266 (Tara) or (910) 796-7251 (Genny) during normal business hours. Comments mailed to Tancred Miller, Director, Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557-3421, prior to April 8, 2026 will be considered in making the permit decision. Later comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project modification may occur based on review and comment by the public and state and federal agencies.
