NOTICE OF GENERAL PRIMARY ELECTION
In accordance with the provisions of the Election Code notice is hereby given to the electors of Beaver County that a General Primary will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. prevailing time, for the nomination of candidates to the following offices that will be elected at the November 3, 2026 General Election. Offices designated with a * are the only offices for which petitions are filed with the Beaver County Board of Elections. All other offices are to be filed with the Pennsylvania Department of State. Public offices include:

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS 17TH DISTRICT
SENATOR IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY 46TH DISTRICT
REPRESENTATIVE IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, 14TH, 15TH & 16TH DISTRICTS
The following are the party offices and number to be elected at the General Primary, May 19, 2026:
Three Democratic State Committee Members - Countywide (One Male, One Female and One of Either Gender Elected)
Five Republican State Committee Members – Countywide (Two Male, Two Female, and One of Either Gender Elected)
Democratic County Committee* (One Man and One Woman in each precinct)
Petitions to have the name of a candidate printed upon Official Primary ballots, which are to be filed in the office of the Beaver County Board of Elections in Beaver, Pennsylvania, must be filed in that office by 4:30 P.M., March 10, 2026. Casting of lots to determine the position of names on the ballot will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bureau of Elections office. Petitions for all other offices are filed with the Secretary of the Commonwealth in Harrisburg, PA.
For the purpose of casting lots, any candidate may appear in person or by proxy appointed in writing. The County Bureau of Elections shall cast lots for any candidate who does not appear.
The Beaver County Board of Elections will begin the pre-canvass of Absentee and Mail-in Ballots from the May 19, 2026 General Primary Election on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. in the multi-purpose room located in the basement of the Beaver County Courthouse. The Return Board will convene Friday, May 22, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. in the Multi-Purpose Room located in the basement of the Beaver County Courthouse, for the purpose of computing all votes cast at the May 19, 2026 General Primary Election and determining the eligibility of provisional ballots. Eligibility of any military or overseas ballots received after the deadline will be determined on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
