
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ASSESS CITRUS TREES
The Board of Directors of the Citrus Pest Control District No. 2 of Riverside County, having been duly appointed and qualified for office, have formulated an effective plan based on the best known and accepted method for control and eradication of citrus pests within the District and have caused to be made an estimate of the cost of operating such a plan for the next fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The Board approved a preliminary budget which was entered upon the minutes of a regular meeting at District Office 86-150 Ave 54, Coachella, California, 92236 on May 12, 2026. Summary of a preliminary budget for the next fiscal year is as follows:

The original proposed budget is on file with the Secretary at 79-245 Corporate Centre Dr., Ste. 101, La Quinta, California and may be examined for further particulars.
It is the intention of the Board of Directors of the Citrus Pest Control District No. 2 of Riverside County to raise the above amount required to meet the proposed budget by levying an assessment upon the assessed value of the citrus trees within the District in accordance with the Citrus Pest District Control Law. The amount to be raised is based on the approved rate and estimated citrus acreage for 2026-27 and is in conformity with the requirements of Proposition 218. A Public Hearing will be held at District Office 86-150 Ave 54, Coachella, California, 92236 on June 16, 2026 at 10:00 am where any and all persons interested may participate and object to the adoption of the budget or to any item therein.
