NOTICE OF OPENING OF PUBLIC BIDS FOR DEMOLITION OF UNSAFE STRUCTURES
Orders to demolish the following structures were previously affirmed or modified by the Hearing Authority at a hearing held relative to each order. Any person or corporation claiming any title, right, or interest in any of the parcels of real estate listed below by address and legal description is hereby notified that in accordance with the power granted by the Indiana Unsafe Building Law (Ind. Code 36-7-9, et seq) a contract is to be let at public bid to a licensed contractor to accomplish work to comply with the order relative to each parcel of real estate by the City of Indianapolis, Department of Business & Neighborhood Services. The cost of the demolition and an average processing expense, which represents the average administrative costs incurred by the Department of Business & Neighborhood Services in performing the required actions, if unpaid fifteen (15) days after the completion of the required actions by the contractor, may be placed on the tax duplicate of the property as a special assessment or recorded , after a hearing, as a lien against all persons having a fee interest, life estate interest, or equitable interest of a contract purchaser in the unsafe premises.
