NOTICE OF PASSAGE OF ORDINANCE Ordinance No. 8207 passed on August 26, 2025, amending the Amarillo Municipal Code, Chapter 8-5, to eliminate food permits for day-care facilities in accordance with SB 1008, to match the city's food permit fee structure with the DSHS food permit fee structure, to eliminate most mobile food vendor regulations in accordance with HB 2844, to create a uniform annual permit term, to match state law and local practice, and to improve cost recovery; amending Chapter 4-10 to maintain reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions on mobile food vendors; and providing for severability, repealer, continuation of prior law, penalty, publication, and effective dates. This ordinance shall become and be effective on and after ten (10) days following the date of its second publication as required by the Charter of the City of Amarillo, but in no event later than September 17, 2025.
