OF PROPOSED CHANGES
TO THE RULES OF THE SPRINGFIELD
CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given that the Springfield Civil Service Commission proposes amendments to the following sections of its Rules: Section 4.2 – Nature of Examinations, Section 5.11 – Effect of Declines on List Placement. Members of the public are invited to submit written comments regarding the proposed rule changes. Written comments may be submitted on or before February 4, 2026, to the Springfield Civil Service Commission at: Springfield Civil Service Commission

Members of the public may also submit written comments by email on or before February 4, 2026, to the following email address HumanResources@springfield.il.us. In addition, members of the public may attend the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Springfield Civil Service Commission, at which a public hearing will be held. The meeting will take place on: Date: February 4, 2026 at 5:15 p.m. Location: City Council Chambers, 300 South Seventh Street, Third Floor, Springfield, Illinois. The proposed rule changes will be considered and voted upon at this meeting.
