NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ADOPTION OF A CITYWIDE ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ADOPTION OF A CITYWIDE ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Tulare will consider adoption of a citywide Active Transportation Plan. Adoption of the 2026 Active Transportation Plan is intended to assist the City in meeting the needs of commuter and recreation bicycle users and pedestrians, and will assist the City in efforts to obtain local, state, and federal funds for bikeways, sidewalks, and related facilities. This action does not constitute a "project" pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The Tulare City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 491 North "M" Street, Tulare, California. All interested parties are invited to attend. For further information, please contact the Community Development Department at (559) 684-4217. If you challenge the proposed plan in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Tulare at or prior to, the public hearing.
