Notice is Hereby Given that the Planning Commission of the City of Indian Wells, will hold a public hearing at a regular meeting on October 30, 2025, beginning at 1:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the City Council Chamber, 44-950 Eldorado Drive, Indian Wells, California, to hear public testimony of all interested parties for the purpose of:
Considering a Resolution Recommending Approval of Variance No. 2025-02 to allow a 3-foot encroachment into the 8-foot minimum side yard building setback to construct new building additions to an existing residence located at 74589 Palo Verde Drive (APN: 625-461-031) and finding the project exempt from CEQA per Section 15303(e) of the CEQA guidelines.
The project file is available for public review at City Hall, Planning Department counter during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). This project has been assessed in accordance with the authority and criteria contained in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the State and local CEQA Guidelines, and the environmental regulations of the City. The City, acting as Lead Agency, determined that the project is exempt from CEQA pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21080 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15303(e) and that none of the exceptions in CEQA Guidelines section 15300.2 apply to the project.
Any interested person may attend the meeting and be heard or present written comments to the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the conclusion of the public hearing. According to Government Code Section 65009, if you challenge the Commission's action in court or at an administrative proceeding, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City, either at or prior to the public hearing.
