NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VIRGINIA Notice is hereby given to all persons affected or interested that at the Colonial Heights City Council meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, the City Council shall hold a public hearing to accept comments on the following: AN ORDINANCE NO. 26-FIN-9 To amend the General Fund Budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, by appropriating $1,000,000 from General Fund Unassigned Fund Balance to Miscellaneous and to Debt Service & Transfers Out. The General Fund is also amended by transferring $425,886 from Nondepartmental to Health & Social Services. To amend the Capital Projects Fund budget by appropriating $868,244 in funding from the Virginia Department of Transportation in Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program ($344,644) and Regional Surface Transportation Program ($523,600) funding to Intergovernmental and to Boulevard at Temple Ave. Intersection Improvements. The Capital Projects Fund budget is also amended by appropriating $1,000,000 from the General Fund's Debt Service and Transfers Out to Miscellaneous and to Dunlop Farms Boulevard Property Acquisition/Renovation. A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file for public examination during regular business hours in the City Clerk's Office in City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia; on the City's website www.colonialheightsva.gov; or may be received by calling the City Clerk at 804-520-9360.
