Zoning District: Redevelopment Area set forth by the "New Redmond II Redevelopment Plan" prepared by the City of New Brunswick Department of Planning, Community and Economic Development, and adopted on July 16, 2025
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Applicant has filed a Site Plan/Subdivision/Variance Application (the "Application") with the City of New Brunswick Planning Board for the necessary approvals including but not limited to any variances, waivers, or other relief deemed necessary by the Board to permit the following: Applicant seeks Minor Subdivision and Preliminary and Final Major Site Plan approval to permit the consolidation and subdivision of 15 lots into 2 separate lots, proposed Lot 14.03 containing approximately 47,453 square feet and proposed Lot 14.04 containing approximately 47,364 square feet. Applicant proposes the construction of an 8-story, 218,000 gross square foot office building for use as the Middlesex County Administration Building with on-site parking on proposed Lot 14.04 and construction of additional on-site parking on proposed Lot 14.03 with associated site improvements. Additional off-site parking will be provided. In addition to the above approval, the Applicant requests that the Application be deemed amended to include, and that the Board grant any additional approvals, variances, exceptions or waivers determined to be necessary or desirable in the review and processing of this Application, whether requested by the Applicant, the Board or otherwise. The Applicant is the designated Redeveloper of the Property. This notice is sent to you as the owner of property in the immediate vicinity.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the City of New Brunswick Planning Board will hold in-person public hearing on the Application on April 13, 2026, at 7:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers, New Brunswick City Hall, 78 Bayard Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901, and when the case is called you may appear either in person, or by agent or attorney, and present any objections or comments which you may have to the granting of the relief sought in the application. Any interested party may appear at said hearing and participate therein in accordance with the rules of the Board. The Application may be carried to future hearings without any additional public notice.
A copy of said Application and related documents are on file with and may be inspected by all interested parties in the Office of the Department of Planning, Community and Economic Development, 25 Kirkpatrick Street, Second Floor, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 during normal business hours.
