NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COUNTY OF STEUBEN

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COUNTY OF STEUBEN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Hearing will be held by the County Legislature of the County of Steuben at the Legislative Chambers, 20 East Morris Street, in the Village of Bath, New York on the 23rd day of February, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Steuben County's current Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project: Steuben County Well and Septic Replacement Program, NYS CDBG 1115WS336-23 in the amount of $198,000. The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR), and provides resources to eligible local governments for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low- and moderate-income persons. The Steuben County Septic & Well Program assists low- and moderate-income homeowners with water well and septic system repair or replacement. Comments related to the effectiveness of administration of the CDBG project will also be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. The Legislative Chambers are accessible to persons with disabilities.
