NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Douglas Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of the Village of Douglas will hold a Public Hearing on May 26, 2026, at 7:00 pm, in the Douglas City Hall, located at 415 Wiley Rd Douglas, Michigan, to consider the following dimensional variance requests for the property located at 47 W. Center Street, Douglas, Michigan 49406 (Parcel No. 59-150-002-00):
1. Section 19.05(2)(b): Request to reduce the required driveway entrance setback from an adjacent residential lot to 5 feet where 25 feet is required.
2. Section 19.05(2)(c): Request to reduce the distance between a parking lot and a building to 2.5 feet where 12 feet is required.
3. Section 19.05(2)(c): An interpretation of this section by the Zoning Board of Appeals.
This application is available at the City of the Village of Douglas offices for public examination and review during normal business hours. Interested persons may submit comments in writing before the public hearing or appear in person at the public hearing to become part of the hearing record. The City of Douglas will provide necessary and reasonable aids and services for disabled persons upon 7 days prior notice to the City Offices at (269) 857-1438.
