NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE
STATE OF NEVADA'S
2025-2029 CONSOLIDATED PLAN AMENDMENT
In accordance with 24 CFR 91.105, the State of Nevada has made its draft U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan (Con Plan) Amendment available for public review and comment. The Con Plan describes how the State will use funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the 2025-2029 program years. For the 2025 program year, a Consolidated Plan amendment is being prepared to add a CDBG project within the City of North Las Vegas, Clark County, an entitlement community. This amendment reflects a special circumstance in which the State is utilizing entitlement funds in the amount of $2,358,020.27 to carry out a demolition project in the Windsor Park neighborhood, in accordance with 24 CFR 570. Additionally, under the HOME program, changes are being made to the treatment of program income generated, which will now be returned to the State for allocation to eligible HOME-assisted projects.
Copies of the Consolidated Plan Amendment are available for public review and comment beginning May 27, 2026, in the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), the Nevada Housing Division, all City and County Administration offices (except Reno, Sparks, and city and county offices within Clark County), and at www.goed.nv.gov. To be incorporated into the State's plan to HUD, all comments must be submitted to the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development, Attention Jessica Sanders, 808 West Nye Lane, Carson City, NV 89703, or e-mailed to jsanders@goed.nv.gov, no later than June 26, 2026.
