NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE STATE OF NEVADA’S AMENDED CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN AND 2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE STATE OF NEVADA'S AMENDED CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN AND 2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN In accordance with 24 CFR 91.105, the State of Nevada has made its draft Amended Citizen Participation Plan and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development 2026 Annual Action Plan. The Citizen Participation Plan is being amended to add the Recovery Housing Program as it is subject to the process provided for substantial amendments. For the 2026 program year beginning July 1, 2026, the State will receive $9,275,374* in funding from HUD for the Community Development Block Grant ($2,919,374), HOME Investment Partnerships ($3,000,000), Emergency Solutions Grant ($356,000), and Housing Trust Fund (estimated at $3,000,000) programs. *At the time of publication, HUD had not released the Housing Trust Fund allocation. Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS program final formula allocation was program year 2025 and will have prior year resources available. The overall goal of these programs is to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing, suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities principally for low- and moderate-income individuals and families. Copies of the plans are available for public review and comment beginning July 7, 2026, in the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), the Nevada Housing Division, all City and County Administration offices (except Reno, Sparks, and city and county offices within Clark County), and at www.goed.nv.gov. To be incorporated into the State's plan to HUD, all comments must be submitted to the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development, Attention Jessica Sanders, 808 West Nye Lane, Carson City, NV 89703, or e-mailed to jsanders@goed.nv.gov, no later than August 6, 2026. Information on the public hearing and other opportunities to provide input on planned development will be posted on the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development website: www.goed.nv.gov.
