NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
HOLLAND CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the Planning Commission of the Charter Township of Holland, Ottawa County, Michigan, will hold a public hearing at the Holland Charter Township Fire Station No. 1 located at 131 Riley Street, Holland Charter Township, Ottawa County, Michigan on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or thereafter, to hear and consider the following matters:
(a) Consideration of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map of Holland Charter Township submitted by My House Ministry. Petitioner is requesting to change the land hereafter described from R-2 Moderate Density Residential to R-2A Medium Density Residential:
PART SW 1/4 OF NE 1/4 COM NE COR, TH S 158.4 FT, W 604 FT, N 158.4 FT, E 604 FT TO BEG EXC BEELINE RD. SEC 20 T5N R15W 2 A M/L.
Said land is located at 352 Beeline Road, described more specifically as Parcel Number 70-16-20-200-016.
(b) Consideration of an amendment to Article 9 – Specific Use Requirements, Section 9.20 – Outdoor Display, Sales, Temporary of the Zoning Ordinance of Holland Charter Township. Petition is submitted by Emily Johnson. The proposed text would add "Seasonal Outdoor Display and Sales" (occurring between April 1 and October 31) as a use requiring Special Land Use permit approval from the Township Planning Commission.
(c) Consideration of a request for a Planned Unit Development, Preliminary Development Plan for Patrick Vawter of Capstone Communities on behalf of K & J Legacy LLC for land located at 3717 Beeline Road (Parcel Number 70-16-09-200-037) in Holland Charter Township, Ottawa County, Michigan, described generally as follows:

The proposed development plan for the "The Cottages at Holland" would consist of 265 dwelling units within a mix of different style buildings. The subject property is zoned R-3 High Density Residential.
(d) Consideration of Amendment to the Crossings Court Planned Unit Development Final Development Plan, submitted by William Sikkel of Sikkel & Krommendyk, PLC on behalf of Tom Vroon of T2 Properties LLC for land located generally on Crossings Court in Holland Charter Township, Ottawa County, Michigan, described generally as follows:
LOTS 2, 3, & 4, THE CROSSINGS, PART OF THE NE 1/4, SECTION 22, TOWN 5 NORTH, RANGE 15 WEST, HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, OTTAWA COUNTY, MICHIGAN.
The Crossings Court PUD currently contains property addressed as 11555 Crossings Ct (Suites 10-120) and vacant land on Crossings Ct, described more specifically as Parcel Number 70-16-22-271-011. The proposed amendment includes changes consisting of permitting a contractor facility, warehousing to be used for storage of personal and recreational property, and outdoor storage on Lot 4; modifying the current PUD building setbacks for Lot 4 to comply with the C-2 Community Commercial setback requirements; and modifying the parking calculations to be 1 space per 145 square feet for Lots 2 & 3 and 1 space per 720 square feet on Lot 4.
(e) Consideration of a Special Land Use Permit approval for the outdoor sales and display of firewood, bagged products, propane, bottled water and windshield washing fluid for the Meijer Gas Station. Petition is submitted by Craig Wheeler of Meijer, Inc. for land located at 3320-3228 West Shore Drive, described more specifically as Parcel Number 70-16-09-300-086. The subject property is zoned Community Commercial and FP Floodplain.
2. That any interested party may appear at such hearings in person, or by agent or attorney.
3. That written comments concerning the above matter(s) may be filed prior to the hearing with the Holland Charter Township Planning Commission at the Holland Charter Township Offices, 353 N. 120th Avenue, Holland, Michigan 49424, at any time Monday through Friday, other than a legal holiday, during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Written comments may also be filed at the hearing, by telephone, or may be emailed before the meeting to: coreyb@hct.holland.mi.us. 4. That copies of the above requests are on file at the Holland Charter Township Offices, 353 N. 120th Avenue, Holland, Michigan, and may be inspected by any interested party during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, other than a legal holiday.
5. This notice is posted in compliance with Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended, the Open Meetings Act, MCL 41.82a, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Charter of Holland Township will provide necessary reasonable aids and services, such as signers for the hearing-impaired and audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon five days' notice to the Charter of Holland Township in writing or calling the Clerk's Department at 353 N. 120th Avenue, Holland, Michigan 49424, Telephone (616) 396-2345.
