NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ILLINOIS AMERICAN WATER COMPANY (ILAW): PEORIA DISTRICT – Water Distribution System Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on March 10, 2026 at 11:30 AM in the Lakeview Room at the Peoria Public Library Lakeview Branch, which is located at 1137 W Lake Ave, Peoria, IL 61614. The purpose of the hearing is to provide an opportunity for public input regarding proposed lead service line replacements. The hearing will include a brief informational presentation about the project. During the hearing the ILAW and its consulting engineer will review the findings of the project summary and the Preliminary Environmental Impact Determination (PEID). Following the presentation, ILAWC will make a formal request for public comments. At the end of the hearing, ILAW and its consulting engineer will be available to address any concerns, questions, or comments that citizens may have about the project. Those interested in making written public comments on the project must do so within 10 days after the date of this hearing, and shall submit such comments to ILAW (at ILAW's office located at 7500 N. Harker Drive, Peoria, IL 61615) or the Illinois EPA (to be directed to the contact person at the IEPA address listed in the PEID document).
