NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLIVE, IOWA TO CONSIDER VACATING A PORTION OF HICKMAN ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of Clive, Iowa has adopted a resolution proposing that the City consider vacating a portion of, as legally described below, and conveying said portion to the adjacent property owners of the land. A PART OF LOT G, STATE FARM ADDITION AND A PART OF LOT C, INTERSTATE INVESTMENT SUBDIVISION, BOTH BEING OFFICIAL PLATS IN THE CITY OF CLIVE, POLK COUNTY, IOWA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 10, SAID INTERSTATE INVESTMENT SUBDIVISION; THENCE NORTH 00o07'38" WEST ALONG THE EASTERLY LINE OF LOT 1, HOLMES OLDSMOBILE HONDA, AN OFFICIAL PLAT, 66.51 FEET TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 1; THENCE SOUTH 89o47'34" EAST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN QUIT CLAIM DEED RECORDED IN BOOK 5431, PAGE 787, A DISTANCE OF 191.07 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 12o54'38" EAST, 43.71 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 00o10'59" WEST, 17.65 FEET TO THE NORTH LINE OF SAID LOT 10; THENCE NORTH 89o46'23" WEST ALONG SAID NORTH LINE, 147.46 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 83o24'09" WEST ALONG SAID NORTH LINE, 53.53 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING AND CONTAINING 0.28 ACRES (12,043 SQUARE FEET. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clive City Council will hold a public hearing on a Resolution to vacate a portion of the Hickman Road right-of-way adjacent to Lot 10, Interstate Investment Subdivision at the Clive City Hall, 1900 NW 114th Street, Clive, Iowa 6:00 p.m. on the 13th day of November 2025. At the public hearing, any interested persons may appear and state or file objections to the proposal and the City Council will consider any objections and hear interested persons. The Resolution setting forth the vacation is incorporated herein by this reference and is on file with the City Clerk of the City of Clive, Iowa.
